Check Your Head- Website Launch!

We are proud to announce the launch of the Check Your Head website! We are honoured to have had the chance to collaborate with the inspiring group at CYH over the past few months, working to put together a cohesive, beautiful new brand and website that parallels the amazing work they do. The site isn’t just pretty, it offers some powerful custom built tools that allow CYH to crowd source content, encouraging engagement and collaboration with their audience. Aren’t familiar with Check Your Head? Well, you should be.

Founded in 1999, Check Your Head is a youth-driven not-for-profit organization based in Vancouver, British Columbia that educates and activates young people on various social issues. Their main activities include workshops, facilitation and leadership training, supporting youth-led social and environmental justice actions, and engaging youth volunteers. So far, CYH has facilitated over 1,900 workshops and worked with over 58,000 youth in the Lower Mainland and throughout B.C! Like us, they believe that a healthy, democratic and sustainable future depends on a generation of informed, empowered & active young people and make it their mission.

With a small crew, CYH needed a website that could work for them. So we automated many of their processes and implemented tools to reach a bigger audience as well as aligned. With an open submission for ideas and the opportunity for multiple bloggers, their new website allows for fresh content and limitless community building.

The Cheaper Show No. 10

The Cheaper Show is just around the corner, and we’re getting really excited! A few weeks back we launched their all-new wordpress website with tons of cool features. We’ll be doing a case study here as well as writing a full case study for the WooThemes Blog as well which we’re stoked about.

The Cheaper Show is a one night art show featuring 200 international artists, 400 pieces of art, all priced at $200. This year the show is featuring artists from 15 countries around the world.

New WordPress Website Design : Black and Yellow Gallery

We donated our services to build a simple little WordPress Website for the sister project of The Cheaper Show, the soon-to-open Black and Yellow Gallery in the Waldorf Hotel. The gallery opens April 1st, shared with openings by some incredible artists like Paul Wong, Attila Richard Lukacs, Stan Douglas and more. Details on the Waldorf Hotel website

 

Saje.ca has launched!

We’re proud to announce that last month, we launched the new Saje.ca website. Saje is a company that creates and sells 100% All Natural Wellness, Remedy and Body products.

This project has been fairly multifaceted, encompassing the following high-level objectives:

  • Creating a web strategy to: create a strong online presence for Saje, drive new traffic & achieve top level results on search engines, create cross-promotion and incentives for existing customers to draw in new customers
  • Create a website framework that is easily manageable  by Saje, and offers a smooth, intuitive user experience for their customers
  • Establish a strong presence across Somed networks like Facebook, Twitter and Youtube and establish a strong community feel online
  • Advise & assist in the re-branding and re-design of their entire product line (coming in the new year!)
  • Bottom Line: Increase online sales significantly over the next 12-24 months while increasing brand value through genuine community engagement

Early Results Are In!

A few great indicators in the first 30 days of being live, and 90 days of Social Media activation through Facebook, Twitter, and their blog:

  • In the first 30 days, the website doubled sales from average month (195% sales)

Google targeted search terms

 

  • All Natural Remedies (3rd)
  • All Natural Products (4th)
  • All Natural (4th)
  • Essential Oils (2nd)
  • Aromatherapy Products (2nd)

Facebook (progress in last 60 days)

  • ~20 new followers per/week
  • 320% increase in active users (they interacted with a post, posted to our wall etc – this is how you measure quality vs quantity)
  • 900% increase in daily post views (2,280 views daily)

Twitter

 

  • ~20 new followers/week, listed on 24 public lists

Web Traffic (comparisons from same 30 day period in 2009)

  • 35% increase in overall web traffic
  • 18% of traffic from referring websites (30% increase)
  • 45% of traffic from search engines (10% increase)
