Communicating the right to a clean environment

Around the world, more than 110 nations recognize the right to live in a healthy environment, but not in Canada. The Blue Dot Tour is an exciting multi-year campaign led by the David Suzuki Foundation mobilizing Canadians to take meaningful action to protect their rights to a clean and healthy environment.

The challenge was to take a large and complex issue and break it down to communicate it in a way that was meaningful to the individual Canadian. The site needed to tell Canadians, ‘this isn’t bigger than you, you can make a difference.

To do this, we built a campaign site using multi-level parallax animation on the homescreen, creating an experience of ‘big to small’. The site supports the David Suzuki Foundation’s goal of engaging Canadians, collecting signees and works in conjunction with their tour and events.
